Trying to get this theme to work on wheezy, I tried copying the files to ~/.themes and /usr/share/themes but I can't see the theme in Window Manager. I'm sure I have all the dependencies however. Any tips?
so I have installed this beautiful theme in Arch Linux with XFCE through the package on Aur: xfce-theme-simplix. The theme if full applied except for xfce4-panel that is not dark. I have installed all packages recommended on the forum: gtk-engines pixbuf murrine. Can you help me?
so I fix the color of panel but the notification area is very orrible. I have read that the area depend by compositor my compositor is comton but I don't know what are settings for uniform color. it.tinypic.com/r/2vsm9nk/8
have you tried a restart? (some widgets doesn't redraw after a theme change) the other case would be that you use a gtk3 application which isn't drawn correctly on the gtk2 panel(gtk2<=>gtk3 incompatibility eg: the gnome network manager client) - in that case I can't do nothing but you could switch to a xfce/gtk2 or cli application eg: wicd or ceni wiki.xfce.org/recommendedappswiki.xfce.org/consoleaddict
First of all, love the theme really awesome, thanks. :>
But i do have a problem, I'm running Xubuntu 14.04 and apparently it wont theme my xfce panel, its still the same as before. Everything else is themed. Is it just me being stupid or did i miss something? Also in once i select something in the dropdown menu im not able to see it since it just turnes white. Here is a screenshot: i.imgur.com/4MOxBT2.png Thanks in advance.
Ah sorry forgot about that one, working now. :> But there is one question left i have. The problem with the text just turning white once i select something from the right click menu, as you can see in the screenshot. Is it meant to look like that or is that regarding to the font? Since i didnt change it yet.
the fonts are themed through the mist GTK2 engine, you probably miss it. on debian just type su -c "apt-get install gtk2-engines", also sometimes the panel and some other widgets doesn't redraw after a theme change in that case just logout/relogin, reboot or kill & restart it
I have one small issue that could not solve. All links on any windows or any popup for example in menu, when you mouse over any link, it turns white color text and background so that i cannot see the text.
For example when i rigt clik on the desktop and mouse over any item, it turns white.
I love this theme, and although it doesn't fit The Arch Way, I'd like to use it with my new Chromebook Arch install. I want to change the colors to more match the Arch coloring scheme, that grey and ice blue. Whats the best way to edit?
Not meant to slap your original idea in the face, though!!
